The root cause for insecurity is fear. Dont you think the starting point for greed is also fear? I mean, people are afraid they might lose out, hence, they want to have 'more' than the fair share..
Saaya - Hurt , I agree is extremely numbing , especially if you trust and believe someone and they hurt you Rustyneurons - Fear and insecurity go hand in hand ..greed comes from insecurity largely ..but insecurity completely kills someone N - Grief is a state of mind..there are people who are always unhappy ...grief is also an outcome of fear, insecurity, hurt , and many times -love-either too much or lack of it
the reason insecurity would top the list is that by nature, man is in a state of 'unease'. being stable or secure is what he strives for. however, i would like to add that insecurity is not an emotion, it is the effect of an emotion. that emotion primally would be fear - fear of rejection, fear of failure, etc.
Thinker-girl -thanks for visiting my blog . I agree with you , but technically anything that you feel is an emotion , fear i agree is the main factor and that probably leads to a chain of action and reactions
i would certainly go with love, esp a deep and passionate love directed towards the divine, in one's heart, and playing in all forms... and here is where insecurity definitely takes a backseat!! :o)
Dintoons - Love is powerful , I agree , but insecurity unfortunately shows its ugly face in many relationships , which break soon
Shooting star - I would think that being self conscious is not the same as selfishness . I would say, self centred and only insecure people would be selfish
